Every Motorist Should Know How To Change Their Nitto Tires

By Krista W. Froelich

Whether you have Nitto tires or any other brand, chances are that you will experience a flat tire or blow out at some point in your adult life. Since it is relatively inevitable that they will all have to handle this sort of situation, it is a very good idea for each and every motorist to learn how to properly change a tire, so that they never end up stranded alongside a busy interstate or a long stretch of empty highway.

Despite what many people might think, not everything that has to do with repairing some part of a vehicle is actually complicated, and changing a tire is one of the least complicated repairs of all. Instead of taking a course in mechanics, all you have to do is learn a few simple steps and remember them for when the time comes that you have to put them into practice.

The hardest factor in being able to change a tire is having all the stuff that you require available to you when the time comes for you to make the change, since flats are often spontaneous events. You can never know when a blowout or flat will occur, so the only way to be prepared is to keep a car jack, a lug wrench, and a spare tire in your vehicle at all times.

When you experience a flat on the side of the road the first thing will likely happen is an audible popping sound, followed by a lot of resistance. For the sake of safety, the first thing you need to do is pull your car as far off the road as you can and on the most even spot you can find.

Get out and use your jack to lift the affected tire only slightly, not so even enough for it to come entirely off of the pavement. When the tire is in this spot, loosen but do not remove the lug nuts. With the nuts loosened, you can jack up the car until the tire is clear of the ground, take off the lug nuts, and swap the damaged tire with the spare one.

Of course, the next step is rather simple, just do all of the above in reverse sequence. Using these easy directions, switching out your Nitto tires should prove to be a relatively simple task.
