Discover Some History At New Ford Twin Cities Dealers

By Cheri Knowles

New Ford Twin Cities suppliers are located where the manufacturer had settled one of their larges and first factories during the history of that company. The factory existed for more than 85 years and it had produced millions of vehicles before it was closed in 2011. Several very popular models had been produced in the factory and even one of the most adored cars ever, the Ford Model T came from that plant.

During its existence, the manufacturing plant has produced millions of different models including one of the most affordable cars at the time, known as the model T. This car was in production since 1908. When the plant started work in 1925, some of these Ts were produced there as well.

The vehicles produced since those first T models have changed a lot during the years, mostly through the improvement of technologies. In the beginning of the 21st century, cars come with a lot more electronics than they have ever been before. That first car looks like very different from the new models the company produces today.

Most automobiles back then were built by hand and the price was very often too high for the middle class. The first vehicle of that model was manufactured in 1908, and just 19 years later the company produced the 15 millionth unit of this car. This is among the most successful models for the company at that time.

The T was very popular and because of that, the company produced another vehicle based on it, the pickup truck known as the TT. The price of this truck was also very affordable. It was naturally larger and heavier and because of that, it was kind of slow.

The company offers automobiles powered by electrical engines, which you can see at new ford Twin Cities dealers. One of the newest models is the Focus Electric vehicle. The car is in production since 2011
