Water bowser is the general term give to a tank on a frame for moving water on the road or around a site. Water bowsers commonly have pumps and hoses to make better use of the water once you've reached your site. If you need your water bowser to last along time and provide good service there are a couple of things to have a look for prior to making your acquisition.
The chassis: This is generally aframe trailer, simplest form is a flat bed with a wooden board bed, a much better option is a galvanized steel trailer frame designed especially for the tank. Road going water bowsers should have suspension, inertia brakes, a jockey wheel to help man handle the bowser when not connected to the towing automobile. A good trailer chassis will have a space for mounting pumps and other hardware.
The Tank: This must be as low a it can be to have a lower center of gravity which will aid with safety typically made for rotary moulded hard plastic or some older tanks are galvanized steel. To improve stableness further, the tank should be baffled to stop the water shifting and moving in transit. To utilize the water there should be an outlet, normally at the rear, and a 2" dump valve is a good addition to make allowance for a complete drain down and it makes cleaning the inside of the tank less complicated.
Pumps etc... If the chassis has a plate for some apparatus then pumps, pressure washers or hose reels can be mounted, this is what makes the bowser very useful. Pressure washers or high pressure cleaners are popular for contractors, used to scrub graffiti, chewing gum and general street cleaning. Also well liked by builds, ship yards and automobile workshops. Low pressure pumps are great for watering and irrigation for plants, golfing courses and plant nursery's. And with a spray pattern nozzle these bowsers are great of dust control.
Other things to have a look for are a stabilizer bar are the rear for when the water bowseris static and if the bowseris to go on the public road, ensure you have got road legal lighting and a number plate.
