Manual VS Automatic Cars, Which is Better?

Some people knows the difference between a manual and automatic  transmission based on several factors, but for those who are simply content on driving around without thought about their car's components. Referring to the title above, I will describe which one is better between manual or automatic transmission.

Brevity, manual transmissions mean you have full control with your gears and while with automatic you can limit your choices between two pedals. In some case, manual transmissions works better, you can control your car use fully. You have more freedom when you do maneuvering your car on steep hills or cobblestones. Manual transmission also more comfortable when you drive a car in extreme weather condition.

It doesn't mean manual transmissions much better than automatic transmissions, cars with automatic transmission it's very convenient to operate. Automatic transmission works based on computerizes. The computer decides when the transmission should shift and then delivers an electrical signal to create the shift. By measuring road speed electronically and engine load, a computer system controls the transmission operation.

Another difference between automatic and manual transmission is, manual transmissions use a clutch, automatic use a fluid coupling called a torque converter. 

Consider the Issue of Costs

Automatic transmissions eat up too much fuel, but manual transmission can save at least 10 percent in fuel economy. Besides, in the market prices the automatic transmission ranging from $ 700, and it's quite expensive.

For repair and maintenance costs, manual transmissions appear to be more superior. You can save huge bucks, because they  don't need too much refining. Even if manual transmissions go haywire, they don't cost a lot to get fixed.

Choosing the Right Transmission

So, you shouldn't have to always refers on pros and cons of each opinions, there’s no good choice or bad choice whether you buy a cars with a manual or automatic transmission,  because that is really a matter of your own taste. If you like to minimize your movements while  you're driving in the highway, automatic transmission is your best choice. However, if you want maximum performance, you must to consider choosing a manual transmission to have control over its power.

Finally, before you actually buying a cars, make sure you've already performed a test drive. You may have to check on the EPA rating of your cars for both manual and automatic transmission, at least it can provide you of a good idea on how much fuel your car can use. This is to ensure that it suits your taste and your current need.
